Wing Chun Videos for your personal Success...
The Muk Yan Jong is, in many ways, the trademark of Wing Chun training. It is a vital key of a practitioners skill.
Traditionally, Wing Chun practitioners start with Siu Lim Tao (1st. Form / little idea) followed by the Cham Kiu (2nd. Form / bridge arms).
The student then learns the Muk Yan Jong (wooden dummy form). The wooden dummy form combines the hand techniques of the 1st. form, with the techniques (turning, stepping, kicking) from the 2nd. Form.
Then the practitioner begins with partner drills (implementation of the form at the partner / implement the learned in the Chi Sao).
This order is important to understand Wing Chun! It is not enough to memorize just one sequence on the dummy. The practitioner must know exactly what he is doing, just like in the forms he has learned before. Every movement has a meaning and has to find itself in Chi Sao.
The wooden dummy form is more than just a sequence of techniques.
The learning path is as follows:
7 Kicks
6 kicks from the Wing Chun Kung Fu are trained in the wooden dummy form, one kick is used twice. We have a total of 7 different kicks in Wing Chun.
1. Module: all exercises (drills) divided into basics, exercises and kicks.
